DANTE’S HOUSE GUIDED TOUR
The Guided Tour of the Dante’s House is focused on the most important steps of the poet’s life: from his youth spent in Florence to the political and literary career, from the exile to his masterpiece, the Divine Comedy.
In order to enrich the way, many will be the insights on issues related to the history of Florence, such as the conflict between Guelphs and Ghibellines, the famous battle of Campaldino, the Ancient Guilds, the tensions between Empire and Church and the medieval uses and costumes, all supported by the exhibition of handmade dresses in fourteenth century shape and a typical medieval noble bedroom.
Visit the Museum will be an unforgettable experience that will guide visitors to rediscover one of the most important authors of Italian literature, surrounded by the medieval atmosphere.
The Tour costs 50€ per group. Each group could include 25 people as maximum; if your group is larger, it will be divided into subgroups and there will be two or more Guided Tours every 25 minutes. The Museum also offers the possibility to book customized guided tours, focusing on the Dante and Florence during the Middle Ages.
